Sewing Room classes for secondary school age pupils take place after-school during term-time

FAQs

How big are the classes? The Sewing Room has a maximum of six in a class.

What time does the class start?  Classes start at 4pm and finish at 5.45.

What do you get to do?    We've done lots of things so far... gathered skirts with elasticated waistbands, a fifties style apron with pockets, a book bag, a bucket bag, bunting and now we're onto pyjama pants.

How much is it?  £10 per session payable in advance (at present I work to school terms), plus the cost of materials.

Does it include refreshments?  Yes. Drinks and a fast-disappearing supply of biscuits (custard creams and bourbons evaporate the most quickly) are included in the cost.

Will there be an alternative class?  Yes, plans are afoot to do another after-school class.  I'm just trying to work out which day. Please contact me if you're interested.
